It aims to counter dehumanising narratives about Palestinians, showing solidarity by attending to the names, stories, experiences, dreams, and struggles of Palestinian children and the actions of the Western-backed Israeli state which are so violently shaping their lives.
Letters for Palestinian Childhoods is being shown at Rise and Resist: United for Palestine, an exhibition at the Castle of Good Hope in Cape Town. The event will raise funds for Palestine and is part of efforts to decolonise a colonial relic. The castle was built as a refreshment station by Jan van Riebeeck in 1642.
