art and words dedicated to the children of Palestine

Letters for Palestinian childhoods

An online and in-person travelling exhibition of letters, poems, and artwork dedicated to the children of Palestine.

L4PC aims to counter dehumanising narratives about Palestinians, showing solidarity by attending to the names, stories, experiences, dreams, and struggles of Palestinian children and the actions of the Western-backed Israeli state which are so violently shaping their lives.

Letters for Palestinian Childhoods at the Centrespace Gallery in Bristol (UK) is an interactive exhibition where you can come and make art or write a letter expressing your feelings about Palestine. You can hang it up in the space if you’d like to, or take it home. There are also talks with Palestine activists throughout the weekend.

It is free to attend the exhibition without tickets, however free tickets are needed for the talks as there are only 30 seats per talk.

Access info:

  • The door is wheelchair accessible & there is an accessible toilet. I don’t think it has a hoist. However, the alley the gallery is on has broken paving. There is a slope at one end of the alley but I think stairs at the other end, so altogether not particularly wheelchair/mobility friendly.
  • There will be benches and chairs against walls throughout for places to sit. During talks there will be benches without backs and some benches against walls for more comfort.
  • Sunday is masked, 50% capacity viewing all day. This means there are only 15 tickets for the talk that day. The sound recording will also be at a lower volume on this day.
  • There will be hand sanitizer on the door throughout & hand sanitizer on the art materials table.
